Arturo is a Spanish filmmaker based in London. In January 2018, he released his first directorial feature documentary, 'Hard as Indie'. The film tells the story behind the spanish film 'The Cosmonaut' and the three filmmakers who made it happen. It was well received by viewers and critics alike, getting great coverage in Spanish national media. 'Hard as Indie' is available for free on www.hardasindie.com.

He co-directed with Paul Romero Méndez the short film 'Ruth', starring Ania Marson and Leslie Ash. The project, co-written with Kerry-Ann Calleja McGregor, was selected by Directors UK and ARRI as part of their 2020 TRINITY Challenge. Shot in a single 12 minute take, it tells the story of an elderly lady with dementia who becomes lost within her own home.

In October 2020, he was selected as a finalist for the Sir Peter Ustinov Scriptwriting Award with his TV script 'Grasping at the Shadow'. The annual international competition is organised by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation.

With experience working on features both in Spain and the United Kingdom, Arturo has worked as an editor and/or assistant editor in highly acclaimed productions by multi-awarded directors like Michael Winterbottom, Mat Whitecross, Tom Dumican and Alex Holmes. He's edited music videos for bands like Coldplay and Smith & Burrows.

He edited the George Ezra documentary 'End to End' produced by Me+You Productions and Mint Pictures, available on Amazon Prime UK. He was also the 2nd Unit Director in the film.
