Arturo is a spanish filmmaker based in London. In January 2018, he released his first directorial feature documentary, 'Hard as Indie'. The film tells the story behind the spanish film 'The Cosmonaut' and the three filmmakers who made it happen. It was well received by viewers and critics alike, getting great coverage in spanish national media. 'Hard as Indie' is available for free on www.hardasindie.com.

He recently co-directed with Paul Romero Méndez the short film 'Ruth', starring Ania Marson and Leslie Ash. The project, co-written with Kerry-Ann Calleja McGregor, was selected by Directors UK and ARRI as part of their 2020 TRINITY Challenge. Shot in a single 12 minute take, it tells the story of an elderly lady with dementia who becomes lost within her own home.

In October 2020, he was selected as a finalist of the Sir Peter Ustinov Scriptwriting Award with his TV script 'Grasping at the Shadow'. The anual international competition is organised by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation.

As editor, he has been part of the BAFTA Crew programme since 2017. With experience working on features both in Spain and the United Kingdom, Arturo has worked as editor and/or assistant editor in highly acclaimed productions like 'Supersonic' and 'A Head Full of Dreams', directed by Mat Whitecross, 'The Trip to Spain' and 'On the Road', directed by multi-awarded director Michael Winterbottom and 'No Greater Law', directed by Tom Dumican.
