As a pioneering woman in modern music, Lily’s sharp wit and candid storytelling directly paved the way for a generation of today’s biggest female artists. The retrospective documentary will offer an intimate portrait of the life and career of a global icon and voice of a generation. Featuring interviews with those who know her best, the doc will chart the singer’s journey from the “Queen of MySpace” who changed the rules of the music industry to the cultural force she is today.
The British singer broke out with huge hits like Smile, Alfie and Not Fair. After a break from music during which she took up acting, Allen returned last year with the phenomenally successful “West End Girl,” which told the story of the dissolution of her relationship with Stranger Things star David Harbour. It was one of the cultural breakous of the year and she is currently touring the album.
Directed by Mat Whitecross, the film will launch globally on Prime Video in 2027 and Altitude will manage the global theatrical release and home entertainment rights worldwide.
